Based on a maximum entry level of 64 persons*, there will be a total prize fund of £17,500. If however for any reason there are less than the anticipated 64 entries, a guaranteed minimum of £3,500 will be added to the total entry fees taken to form the prize fund.
For each leg of the Jacques Grand Prix there will be £3,500 in total prize money: £2,500 in the main event and £1000 for the plate. With this breakdown of prize money it will mean 24 ladies at every tournament will receive prize money.
Each event will be played in its entirety to World Rules. To comply with the wishes of the E.P.A, no event will clash with anything the governing body arranges, including county matches, and events at Great Yarmouth.
In order not to detract from the successful Ladies competition the E.P.A have been organising so well for many years, Rileys have purposely not organised another tour. In the Jacques Grand Prix there will be no seeding or rankings of any kind.
An open draw will precede all of the five events organised. To further comply with the E.P.A.’s wishes and again in order not to detract anything from their tour, where the cream of Ladies Pool participates, the Jacques Grand Prix is aimed at County level players and below, and as such is only open to non WEPF Internationals (criteria for Internationals being those who competed at 2007 WEPF World Championships and those who do so again this year.)
It is hoped that the experience gained on the Jacques Grand Prix will then give many players the confidence to test themselves on the ladies tour against some of the best players in the game the following year.
Rileys’ policy is, where possible, to ensure as many competitors collect a share of the total prize fund as possible, and hopefully we shall see five different winners!
To this end the winner of each tournament, will be handicapped one frame for the next event only. If any player is fortunate enough to win two events in the Jacques Grand Prix then for all remaining events that person will have a one-frame handicap.
There will be no strict dress policy on the Jacques Grand Prix, other than no jeans or trainers can be worn.
All matches in the main events will be over 9 frames whilst the plate will be over seven.
There will be a Jacques Grand Prix committee appointed and this shall be made up of participants, who will be responsible for all issues. Including an annual statement of accounts for all to see! Also a month before the first event a questionnaire will be sent to all players asking for their ideas and input as to what ‘extras’ they would like to see implemented at the events, to ensure they are even more enjoyable than they promise to be.

Thank you for registering an interest in this tournament.
We will be contacting you soon to confirm how you can secure your place in the tournament.
